چکیده

Background Guillain-Barre syndrome (GBS) has a highly diverse clinical course and prognosis. Predicting functional outcomes is needed in order to give appropriate treatment counseling. Erasmus Guillaine-Barre Syndrome Outcome Score (EGOS) simple scoring based on age onset, pre existing diarhea GDS score obtained from medical record physical findings that can be used by clinician predict the of child with GBS..
Objective To assess usefulness EGOS GBS patients.
Methods A retrospective cohort study see which walking or not children aged 6 months 18 years hospitalized RSUP Dr. Sardjito, Yogyakarta 2014 2019 were enrolled purposive sampling method. Bivariate logistic regression multivariate backward method analyses for possible correlations between predictive factors Results total 33 patients analyzed. After six weakness, 57.1% high (> 4) had poor according Hughes scale, asses . Patient greater risk compared lower (≤ (P=0.006; OR 33.3; 95%CI 2.74 404.94). Poor was influenced preceding upper respiratory tract infection, cranial nerve involvement, use ventilator, autonomic dysfunction, immunotherapy, complicating disease, rehabilitation, nutritional status.
 Conclusion High >4 predictor GBS.

Prediction of Functional Outcome in Axonal Guillain-Barre Syndrome

Electrodiagnostic studies provided evidence of an acquired demyelinating polyr...

Outcome and its predictors in Guillain-Barre syndrome.

Despite the use of plasma exchanges and intravenous immunoglobulins, Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) still carries non-negligible morbidity and mortality. Furthermore, the psychosocial consequences of GBS may persist longer than expected. Various aetiological, clinical, electrophysiological and immunological factors may carry prognostic predictive value. The objective of this article was to perfo...
